Demi Moore Uses Bloodsucking Leeches to Detox

In a recent appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman", Demi Moore revealed that she uses leeches to "cleanse" and "detoxify."

"I've always been somebody looking for the cutting edge of things that are for optimizing your health and healing, so just a week ago I was in Austria doing a cleanse and part of the treatment was leech therapy," Moore told Letterman.

Today's celebrities will stop at nothing to maintain their youthful looks.

"These aren't just swamp leeches, these are highly trained medical leeches," she said. "These are not just some low-level scavengers; we're talking high-level blood-suckers."

Moore admits that she first tested the leeches on her belly button before putting several on different parts of her body. She went on to reveal which particular part of her body was used, "Leeches don't like hair, they much prefer a Brazilian," she said.

Leeches have been used in medicine for over 2, 000 years and are said to have been used by ancient Egyptians. They are also used today in plastic and reconstructive surgery to fight blood clots and increase blood flow to inflamed body parts.

There have been reports that Demi Moore once spent over $300,000.00 on a head-to-toe surgical makeover. What's a few leeches gonna hurt?
