Sex and the City star Kristin Davis recently auctioned off a chance to meet her at the Sex and the City The Movie world premiere in New York. The winning bid was $52,100, which easily outpaced the $42,000 Scarlett Johansson raised for a similar event earlier this month.
The auction was held on Ebay and the winner, only known as ‘superiourlotus912’, will receive a chauffeured car to the premier on May 27 where they will meet Davis and a receive a free pair of Jimmy Choo shoes in their size.
The money will be donated to Oxfam America, a Boston based charity which specializes in emergency relief services and poverty relief.
Charity auctions are a growing trend among celebrities. Colin Firth and Charlize Theron have also held auctions for meet-and-greets. Blood Diamond star Djimon Hounsou is currently auctioning a chance to join him at a press junket and attend the premier of his latest movie Push.
